Before I start I must first say that I appreciate honesty from anyone. When I went to a new PCP a few months back, she disclosed that she doesn't treat patients with Fibromyalgia because she doesn't understand enough about it and the variety of symptoms. Okay! Thank you appreciate the honesty, I have since found a pretty good listening PCP.
I was referred to see a new rheumatologist since my old one all but laughed in my face when I broke down crying from frustration in her office. I have been… read more
Good morning! Try Eastlake Primary! True story! I love Dr. Bratsch, he's awesome! Very understanding and attentive! Actually, everyone in this clinic rocks!!!
I was referred to rheumatologist and diagnosed ok that was 15yrs ago he said yes you have fibro your go will manage it bye ......now years later I've been sent to see another rheumatologist whose said yes you've got fibro and now you have osteoarthritis bye your go will manage it gee thanks for your help not
Until you get a functional/naturopath doctor you will have that problem. It's because fibro can't be cured with a pill and that's all they know. Try telling your symptoms of fibro to a functional doctor and you will see a BIG difference.
Wow @A MyFibroTeam Member
Update: My primary care told me that I need to search around for someone who would see me and then contact them. I asked about seeing other Specialist but she insist that it has to be a Rheumy. Oh no am I now at a dead end with her as well? @A MyFibroTeam Member my original PCP was a DO and though I throughly enjoyed the attentiveness and process. I could not afford once they stopped accepting all insurances. I do believe that I would be much worse if we hadn't figured the elimination of dairy and gluten as a regimen while I was seeing him.
Thankfully because my ibs got so bad I couldn't eat I was sent to specialist and found to be gluten intolerant so I'm on a gluten free diet and ins has settled down a lot but my gp has put me on waiting list for pain management clinic as he says he can't give me any more meds I'm on so many and the pain is just about bearable
