I've noticed the last couple of yrs that my hands shake quite a bit, enough that people are starting to notice. Is this a part of fibro? I don't eat like I should at all. I might go a day or two without eating, I think that's what the problem is but I wanted to see if anyone else had this problem. I also have terrible balance problems, I've falling many times and I swear that the walls and chairs hate me, lol. If it wasn't for the walls though I'd be falling alot more often. My Dr thought I was… read more

Members shared their experiences with tremors, shaking hands, and balance problems related to fibromyalgia, with many describing similar symptoms including frequent falls, dizziness, and muscle spasms that have caused noticeable bruising and injury. Several members emphasized the critical importance of maintaining proper nutrition and hydration, noting that skipping meals can worsen shaking due to low blood sugar, and recommending protein supplements, vitamins, small frequent meals throughout the day, and switching from soda to water. A recurring theme was the frustration of doctors being unable to explain these symptoms, the connection between muscle energy depletion and tremors, and practical adaptations like using walkers, being mindful of jaw tension while driving, and simply laughing off the frequent bumps and falls that come with the condition.

Lyrica was the worse for me. I don't remember much while being on that drug
except for losing my balance going down steps.

My hands shake sometimes too I think it's part of fibro. I sometimes have horrible balance and get dizzy. My neurologist took me off peanuts because he said it can make migraine headaches worse and that can have a lot to do with me getting dizzy. I stopped eating peanut butter (believe me that about killed me I love pb&j sandwich) and I stopped falling. I haven't fell in 4 months and I was falling on a weekly basis. It helped for me and I lost weight no more Reese's.

Not eating will cause your blood sugar to drop and cause your hands to shake. This often happens tl me if I wait too long before eating. Does your shaking stop after you eqt?

It def..sounds like u need to take vitamins..I did to.i didn't eat right and all I drank was pop..since I have been only drinking water..I have to make myself..I eat breakfast..even if it's a couple bites of banana..and do this all day long..nuts..fruit anything healthy..it has helped. I was the type of person to wake up and go to work and not eat until supper time..it scared of getting worse and still don't have a final diagnosis..
