They are common, anywhere on the body from head to toe. Usually fingers up into hands and arms and toes up to your ankles and knees even.
Facial numbness around eyes as well.
Notify your doctor when really odd new places go numb though, like your skull or over your chest, or if the numbness slows your breathing.

Yes, I have a numb area on my right shoulder blade. However, I had spinal surgery 2 years ago, so I think that it is mainly the nerves that are bothered from that still.
