I have also slept on an air bed and I found it quite restful but as was previously said, getting up and getting into bed was let's say difficult.
I hope this helps

I own a sleep number bed which is slightly different but I love it. I can pump it up full or let the air out till I feel comfortable. With the air beds I'm not sure if you have to fill them up completely. Good luck.
I have used an air bed, but didn't pump it up full, so it was still soft. Slept fine on it.
It was put on a frame type size like a regular bed so I didn't have the problem too much getting up. Otherwise I would have though.
