I'm trying not to get too excited but I woke up this morning with minimal pain! I am on my third day and I am stunned. No cane today! Has anyone else had this success?

Members shared varied experiences with gabapentin for fibromyalgia pain, with many celebrating significant relief, including one member describing it as a miracle that works within ten minutes of each dose, while another rejoiced at waking up pain-free for the first time in months. Several members cautioned about side effects, particularly weight gain of around 15 pounds within a short period and swelling in the legs, feet, and ankles, though experiences differed on whether the gain was from increased appetite or metabolic changes. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, with members encouraging each other to monitor how the medication works individually while staying alert to potential side effects, and offering prayers, hugs, and genuine excitement for those finding relief.

Yes,I have gotten so much relief from gabapentin, it was like a miracle for me. I take mine every six hours and I can tell when it is time to take it because I start hurting. I take my next dose and in about 10 minutes I feel pretty good. In the past I took lyrica and savella they never helped me much at all . Hope you keep feeling alot better ☺

Jenny no. I didn't have too much of an increase appetite. I boil my chicken and I eat lots of vegetables. I don't know if it is totall the gabapentims fault or there is something with my metabolism. All I know is I gained 15 pounds in one month. I drink slit of water . I watch what I eat. It just keep on piling on. Just not cool.

Yes I am on gabapentin it helps relieve the pain. But it makes you gain weight a lot. It also makes your legs/feet/ankles swell up. Now it might happen to you or it works for you. Just be careful with them. Good luck and gentle hugs .
