How To Make Friends?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Harrisburg, PA

I've been feeling so lonely lately. I have a few friends here, nobody close though... ever since I moved from NH when my husband's job was relocated.

I'm sorry hun. I know I feel the same way myself a lot of the time too, and darned it, I wish I had an answer for you of some sort. I can't even drive any more so I'm eXtra stuck. Maybe you could ask your doctor if there is a local support group for people with the same conditions as you and meet people there?

Try going to your local library. They usually have book clubs and special events, where you could meet others. Sometimes the local parks and recreation system, or college offers special interest groups or events you could attend to meet others. It will get better. Hugs!

I feel te same way. I am divorced and alone. It just seems like since I am sick it is so hard to make friends. We don't live too close to each other but I would like to know you better.
