Members shared their experiences with the internal shakiness that often accompanies severe fibromyalgia pain, describing sensations like vibrating, purring, humming, or an electric current running through the body, most commonly in the legs but sometimes affecting the entire body. Several members offered relatable comparisons to help explain the feeling, including drinking too much caffeine, being extremely cold with tense muscles, or touching your tongue to a battery as a child, with many noting how unsettling and weakness-inducing these tremors can be. A recurring theme was that rest is often the only thing that helps, along with heat therapy like hot baths, though some members also acknowledged the challenge of distinguishing fibromyalgia symptoms from other conditions like newly diagnosed diabetes or stress.

Absolutely! After a cookout one year I could barely move and the pain was terrible and my insides were shaking. All I could manage to do was get in a hot bath [needed help out] and go to bed.

Yes, I have shaking in my legs, neck/head, & sometimes chest. When it's really bad it feels like an "electric current" running from head to toe.

Yes, I am actually experiencing this today. I have very bad lower back pain for the second day in a row and my ACL injury has gotten worse, and I feel weak and shaky overall. I understand exactly what you are describing. For me, the only thing that helps is rest.

I have a feeling of electricity. Like when you where a kid and you put your tongue on a square battery. It feels like that feeling is running through my whole body.

I've been getting shakes inside, but my legs mostly. Was thinking it was just stress/nerves..my husband will have to tell me to relax..Cause I get myself worked up about it..
