Has anyone experienced a warming/heating sensation in their buttock or thigh area? I thought my blanket caught fire, then I thought it was my pants; however after removing everything it's still there. It is cooling then heating right back up. So weird! Pain in hips and stomach but not in butt or thigh.
I know this may sound strange, but knowing that others have the same feelings helps. I would never wish this on anyone but knowing I am not alone some how helps me get through it. I can never exsplain this to my family they just think I am invincable.
Those sensations are normally signs of starting or having a fibro flare. It can last up to as long as minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months sometimes months...just depends on your body and you maintain through it! My example of my most recent flare was signs and symptoms of a person having a heart attack. Some times we can not anything about them but pray our way through! Each person body's reaction differently, there's research out there talking about fibro flares, read it! Sometimes, we it can be a simple fix as change our diet and start exercising, or it could be other things like the weather, stress, or the lack of sleep...things we don't have control of. I hope my comment was help to you! Well better and you all have a wonderful, bless night!
Yup my butt. I remember googling it. Now it fits my fibro puzzle.
Yes. mainly in the lower back and tops of my legs but I can feel like my skin is burning and overly hot in random areas at different times
@A MyFibroTeam Member This is the exact reason why I signed on to the site today. My left thigh, from the hip down to below the knee and under the bottom of the left butt cheek has been on FIRE! Rubbing it hurts terribly and a warm heating pad gives very limited relief. I have had this only briefly a long time ago, but have no idea why it is consistent for the last 5 days. It is interfering with my sleep and daily chores. My family sees me tearing up from the pain but do not understand it. The thigh is warm to the touch but my dog understands it! He will jump up next to me and licks directly where the pain is...somehow that is comforting and not only for the pain but for my psyche - knowing it's not in my head. Animals are very intuitive.
