Pennsaid did not work for me. Salonpas works really well. You could cut them in half to use on your hands. My mom is in a nursing home and has arthritis in her hands. She uses these and tells me they work great. I have used them on my back, shoulders and neck area, especially at night. They seem to help. I keep the heating pad on my couch for my back pain.
