Members shared widespread experiences with chronic nighttime nasal congestion unrelated to illness, often worsening when lying down or in the morning, and many connected it to allergies, sinus issues, chemical sensitivities, and even sleep apnea discovered through testing. Several members offered practical solutions that have worked for them, including using Olbas Oil or essential oils in diffusers or on tissues near the pillow, taking antihistamines before bed, using humidifiers, trying probiotics for candida-related sinus issues, and avoiding overuse of nasal sprays to prevent rebound congestion. A recurring theme was the importance of finding natural remedies when possible, keeping relief tools like Vicks or essential oils at the bedside, and understanding that constant nasal spray use can actually worsen congestion over time.

Also having a candida infection in your colon makes sinusitis quite common in fibro. I take a good probiotic all the time and Monolaurin during courses and after treatment with antibiotics.

My nose gets blocked through the night and I feel very dry and congested in the morning. I just had a sleep study done and found out I have sleep apnea.

I agree that it might be good to try essential oils before resorting to using a less natural remedy on a daily basis. I know that there are even pre-blended essential oils made specifically to help breathe easier. I wonder if these might help. Good luck!

Try taking antihistamines at night. I suffer from allergies and chemical sensitivity. The chemical sensitivity is common with fibro and the inside of your nose may be irrated and inflamed. Give it a try as side effects are very very low.
