Members opened up about the difficult reality of navigating intimacy while living with chronic pain, with many sharing that sex has become less frequent or even impossible due to conditions like fibromyalgia, herniated discs, and endometriosis. Several members expressed gratitude for supportive partners who prioritize their comfort over physical intimacy, with strategies including pre-intimacy massage, having a drink to relax, or focusing on emotional connection when physical intimacy is too painful. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of feeling unable to meet a partner's needs, balanced by relief in knowing they are not alone and that loving partners can adapt with patience and understanding.

Yes, I've tried to hide it too, but he can always tell. It's not that I don't want to try, it's just he won't give me any extra pain. He looks after me so well, & is the best xx

I know what you mean . Sex is so painful, & of course the after effects are bad & im in pain for days after.
My husband doesn't want to have sex at the moment because he knows how much it hurts ,& doesn't want to give me any more pain than I'm already in .

@A MyFibroTeam Member. You are not alone, it is always wanted and needed but hard to enjoy with the pains. Since they say, whoever 'they' are, that your brain is your biggest sex organ, remember the good ol days and what you love about your partner, and.......if that's not enough, I have some wine or a drink with RumChata and Fireball Whiskey! ;-) Years ago I tried the HGH pellets, they worked great but my hair started to fall out and I couldn't afford it anymore! Good luck with whatever works for you. It doesn't help that we are built different than our guys does it?!@$%×@%! Not fair! :-(

My hubby has learned to massage me prior, knows it's the only way for me to be relaxed and comfortable enough as pain does show regardless of us trying our best to hide it (used to be a btl of wine)
