Hi
Is Cannabis oil legal or illegal in the UK or does anyone know of any pain relief that is good for fibromyalgia pain. I am so fed up of waking during night due to hip and leg pain at night. I'm determined to keep up with my studies but it's very difficult :( any tip gratefully recited xx

Currently, it is illegal and I honestly would not even know where to source oil - if you were able to obtain some plant though, there are instructions around online as to how you can produce your own from that. That said, I recently became aware of something called a medipen (i don't know if i'm allowed to say the name) which is basically a pen vapouriser (like an e-cig) and I'm currently looking into whether it's worth the investment. It is cannabis oil minus the THC (the psychoactive component, meaning you won't get high) and as such is legal to buy in the UK. So far, the reviews seem good and the general consensus seems to be that a £25 cartridge will last a couple of weeks (which isn't really more expensive than buying illegally) My only question mark on it, is whether it can be effective with the THC removed completely. The CBD, from what I know, is the part that provides the pain relief, but I don't know whether it still needs to have a certain level of THC for it to work.

If I end up getting one though, I'll certainly write up a brutally honest review for anyone who wants to know! :D

@A MyFibroTeam Member I am in the UK yeah, and as @A MyFibroTeam Member says, if you put 'medipen' into google, it should be one of the first results. I'd post the link but I'm not sure if that's against the rules! If you take the plunge I really hope it works for you - it's probably the only way to obtain anything close to actual medical marijuana and obviously you won't have the worry about getting caught breaking the law.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Thanks for that, dude - I've been weighing up getting one for quite a while and you might have just swung it for me. :)

I've found today that some places also do CBD e-liquid - the shop I found does decent sized bottle for £44 - might he worth seeing if it might be cheaper to buy that and refill the cartridges yourself than it is to continue buying it direct from medipen. i'm actually trying to figure out if it's cheaper in the long run to just get an E-Cig and a bottle of that

TerryReid can't wait to try mine. Does it affect driving at all as I am the only driver and have to ferry husband around as well which has increased my pain. Thanks for the tips. Will let people know how it goes.
Did you check with Dr's about your meds or is it OK with all meds. Sorry for questions
