I unfortunately, am not knowledgeable about medical marijuana. I personally have a two edge sword dilemma. I have herniated discs lumbar region. Diagnosed with FM about 7 months later (last year). Percocet 7.5mg has been my crutch. They say studies show that long term narcotics use is not helpful for FM, or in general for that matter. My response to that is everyone is different and responds to medications differently. Stop putting everyone's pain into a cookie cutter mold!! Assess the patient, thru trial and error, hopefully a plan of care care be individualized for that person needs. You don't need a degree for that. It's called common sense. Hope this helps someone♡♡♡

@AlmaLeBronMedical Marijuana is legal out here (California). CBDs are considered to have a wider scope of potential medical applications than your average or medical THC. Most dispensaries have strains that are higher in CBDs and/or CBD oils. There is a pure CBD oil called Blue Jay Way by Absolute Extracts that works really well for pain. I hope that you find something to ease your pain and suffering. No one should have to live with pain....

I haven't finished my profile yet but I saw this and thought I would let you know my story on Marijuana. I used to smoke when I was younger so when my symptoms got really bad in 2014 I started smoking again even though its illegal or it was in NY, I needed something to help me relax and all the meds were ok but not really hitting the mark. I was on Cymbalta, Meloxicam, tizanidine, Topamax Vicodin and Xanax, It wasn't enough. Well now that Im not working I smoke a little each day and I do feel a bit better. Although I do take all the same meds that I used to with the exception of tizanidine and Meloxicam. My new muscle relaxer is Baclofen. This works very well for the muscle spasms. My stomach cant hand the NSAIDS because I have acute gastritis again due to my GERD. Anyway, Im taking celebrex which is like candy to me. I may as well stop. I have arthritis and several herniated and bulging discs as well. I also have areas of spinal stenosis from my neck to my lumbar spine. so I still need the narcotics. But NY now has medical marijuana which is supposed to be better than what I smoke and I am really looking forward to trying it legally. By the way, FM is not my only problem but I believe it is the root of all of my other issues. I was just denied my SSD and now I have to file an appeal!! Anyway, I think anyone interested in trying the Medical Marijuana should do it. the worse thing that can happen is you will not like it or it will not help. YOU will not become addicted or flip out. But the chances of it helping you are far more than you know. Read up on the oils too. They are legal in all 50 state. Good Luck
