Has anyone found a diet that has helped with overall body pain/aches and tiredness?

I am feeling a little better after 2 weeks of no gluten, no refined sugar, and lots of fruit, nuts and vegetables. I'm trying to just eat organic foods, but it's hard on my pocketbook. I read that a low glycemic index diet is best for Fibromyalgia sufferers, so I'm trying to get rid of "leaky gut."

I have found that no coffee, cut way down on sugar and eat lots of veggies like celery, cucumbers, peppers (yellow, orange and red.) Try to eat protein every day and a little good fat. Protein is important. GI doctor said the gut loses it's motility and will not move foods through the colon. Take something like Citrucel every morning. I also eat oatmeal every day. Lots of fiber, and I seem to tolerate it better now. I'm 74.
