Medical Marijuana?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am in the process of obtaining medicinal Mary Jane and I am wondering if there is anyone out there in fibro land that has found relief from this route of treatment? If so what strands did you find helpful? What methods of ingesting it did you enjoy the most?

I've tried various forms and so have some of my friends who suffer from different chronic pain issues. We all agree edibles are the best although they tend to be more expensive but oil has a good balance of cost and effectiveness. We recently found a brand of oil that lists it's attributes on the package. (The most recent one had migraines, pain, and insomnia listed as its main relief areas).
Hope this helps! And let's us know how it goes if you don't mind?

I'm unfortunate enough to be in a place that criminalises mmj users, but i have found that it's the most effective thing out of all the meds I take. Because of where i live, it's rare to have a choice of strains but you want a higher CBD content and slightly less THC because CBD is the stuff for pain relief and THC is the psychoactive side (I would not advise a really high THC content for a first time consumer, especially if you're taking it for pain relief over recreation) They work well enough as is but I find it works well with what my doc prescribes me (tramadol, meloxicam, sertraline, amitryptiline) - who knows about me using mj for pain relief and whilst he can't be seen to approve, he does agree that it does seem to have helped a lot of his patients who have chronic pain. Just be careful with edibles, it's a different kind of feeling to smoking or vaping so don't take more than advised because you may end up on a couch, unable to move and laughing hysterically at cartoons and/or cat videos on YouTube. Not that that's a bad thing sometimes but it's a problem if you have any kind of plans for the rest of the day, lol!

Edibles are great. I like the tincture, I use Indica Tincture in vegetable glycerin, when my pain is severe. The type really depends on what you like and how well it works for you. I would say give it a try and if you try one type and it doesn't work try another type.

Phyto extractions is the company that makes the oil with the attributes listed on the package.
( Haven't used thc products recently for obvious reasons. Therefore my information may be out of date but hopefully still helpful)

I have never tried it myself but a very close friend has. She uses edibles and says they are godsend. So I would say give it a try. It can't hurt to try!
