B Vitamins And Magnesium
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I take b vitamins and magnesium daily. Does anybody know how much is sufficient and how much is too much?

My understanding is that you can take magnesium as tolerated. Take one on a full stomach. The only side affect, with too much, could be loose stools . The B vitamins are water soluble so there is no danger in overdosing, excess will be excreted in urine. Can look online for holistic medicine advise.

Magnesium glycinate does not cause loose stools. Magnesium oxide can have this effect. Pure encapsulation recommends 1 to 4 capsules daily in divided doses with meals. One capsule is 120 mg / 30% of the daily value. Hope this helps!

My doctor suggested magnesium and B-12 for migraine relief and then I noticed that I nearly never get sick so I take a mag-zinc-capsicum and a B complex then take a multi to get my D. I just take 200% of the daily allowance of the mag,D and B's. I've been told that if you take more than the body can absorb you just producing expensive pee. 😉

I take magnesium glycinate. A chiropractor told me this was best. I don't take any extra b vitamins. I do take milk thistle to protect my liver from all the meds l take. On antibiotics for Lyme Disease.

I was taking somewhat mega doses and was feeling much better than I have lately. Thanks for reminding me. I was taking 3,00-4,000 units of D(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) mcg of liquid B-12, 100 mg of B6, Magnesium, and Selenium. I now use Magnesium spray oil because the body absorbs it better and you get a slight pain reduction upon application. I am going to replenish my stock of D3 and B12 and get back on my regimen. I really was feeling better than I have lately.
