Might be worthwhile. If there is a connection for a subset of fibro patients, then it would do well for more to watch for the possibility. More people wear HA's today, because they can be tuned to the individual's audiogram. Not just amplifiers any more.

No reports of permanent hearing loss in Fibro patients, in fact, there's a significant sub population of Fibro patients with painfully sensitive hearing. All of which suggests there's probably not an overlapp between the two, but they can definitely be exacerbated by the same things.

I am so sorry that you have to deal with both Meniere's and fibro-so many of us have two or more problems to live through-I do not know much about Meniere's-I do get stones in my Silva ducts and it hurts like hell-for years it was considered all in my head then went to one doc and he diagnosed it right off-have to remember to drink lots of water to keep it at bay.

I haven't seen anything in the research data comparing Meniere's and Fibro, that being ssid, Fibro does tend to co-occur with a number symptoms that vary highly patient to patient.

Since Meniere's is, like Fibro, mainly a disorder that depends solely on patient self-reports, it's entirely possible they're different presentations of the same underlying disorder. It's also possible that they're two separate etiologies that aren't related.

After all, we know Fibro can effect our other senses, so why not our sense of balance?
