How many of you cry a lot with this disease? I cried a lot before diagnoses, and it seems I still cry a lot often for no reason. Like if I see A rabbit in the snow, I'll cry. I would say the crying started when a lot of the other symptoms did, I just thought it was depression. I thought maybe it was perhaps one of those of obscure fibro symptoms

Members connected deeply over frequent crying episodes associated with fibromyalgia, with many describing emotional sensitivity to everyday moments like seeing animals, hearing songs, or watching videos, as well as tears from physical pain, grief over lost abilities, and guilt about the impact on loved ones. Several members shared that antidepressants like Effexor or Cymbalta, therapy, meditation exercises, and low-dose medications (25-30mg range) have helped manage the heightened emotional responses common in fibromyalgia. A recurring theme was the tension between hiding tears to protect family members from feeling helpless versus allowing oneself the release of crying, with many finding comfort in reframing tears as expressions of love and caring rather than weakness.

I too am a cryer. I get emotional about everything. The first time my grandson said. I love you (he's 11 months), a song at church, someone else crying. Anything can make me cry. Hellos and goodbyes. Someone else crying. It gets very embarrassing. But I can't seem to hold it in. My mother and her sisters are cryers. So, I make her cry all the time. Someone suggested antidepressants but I am on them.
Recently my crying felt like a gift. I actually was thanked the next day about a conversation. I think it was my love and caring overflowing through my eyes.

I find myself crying from the pain. I isolate myself to hide my crying. I no longer nap on the couch because I cry in my sleep and it's breaking my mothers heart feeling there is nothing she can do. Hell, I'm crying as I write this.
