I have felt weak for the past 3 nights, and my head feels dizzy like I'm messed up but I'm on no meds. Also feel off balance. Had anyone felt like this before?

Members responded to someone experiencing persistent weakness, dizziness, and feeling off balance with a mix of shared experiences and practical advice, with many acknowledging these as common fibromyalgia symptoms while others strongly recommended ruling out an inner ear infection. Several members described living with chronic vertigo and brain fog from fibro, sharing how they manage episodes by avoiding driving on bad days, using medications that help them sleep through severe bouts, and learning to work around unpredictable symptoms like memory lapses and disorientation. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a doctor to rule out treatable causes like infection, especially since symptoms could stem from multiple sources, and the frustration of having invisible symptoms misunderstood by others or even dismissed by medical professionals.

Yes. My husband has thought many times that I was on something because I was so out of it. Honestly I wasn't on anything. Sadly I think it is just another symptom of Fibro.

I also have chronic vertigo and it is an awful feeling! I get bouts where I stumble around and fall, I look like I'm drunk or on drugs. I get vomiting and it usually triggers a migraine. There are a couple of medications that help if it gets too bad, they make me sleep but when I wake up it's a lot better. The last time I had a very severe case I had to call the squad because I couldn't even stand up. When I got to the hospital the Dr. said she couldn't do anything to help me that I needed to sleep off whatever I had taken. She was trying to send me home without treating me. She had my records in her hand but didn't bother to read them or she would have known exactly what to do. I had to call my sister at 4 in the morning who told the Dr. she had better not send me home in a cab. Finally at 7 a new Dr. came on duty and couldn't understand why the other Dr. didn't just give me the meds, especially since I had a stroke 2 years before at the age of 47. I felt humiliated and wrote a long letter to the hospital. Sorry to ramble but it still frustrates me! I can't think of the names of the meds but it may worth checking into, they really do help me. Good luck!

It's not unusual to feel like you described. However, if you have inner ear infection, it will cause vertigo, nausea, vomiting. I'd get checked to rule infection out. It can be very painful too.
