Members shared deeply relatable experiences about waking up with severe morning pain and stiffness, with many describing feeling immobilized, needing help to sit up, or comparing the effort of getting out of bed to running a marathon. Several members offered practical strategies that help them manage mornings, including taking medications immediately upon waking and waiting for them to kick in, using heating pads, doing gentle stretches in bed before getting up, and soaking in a hot tub. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, giving yourself permission to rest on especially hard days, and leaning on support from loved ones to help you dress, move safely, and start the day.

That happens to me a lot. I take my morning meds, get one of my support workers to make me a brew and stay put until I can move safely - if I'm still in too much pain i have a bed day and just sleep through it. The trick is to listen to your body and when it says stop obey it xxx

I have found that sitting in a hot tub, first thing in the morning is a great way to start your day.

It takes me, on average, about 45 minutes to an hour before I can move freely enough to get out of bed. I wake up, take my medication, and lay there until everything feels okay enough for me to get up and move around. My husband always does the "stand-by" next to my side of the bed in case I need any help.

Every morning is different, this morning I am aching everywhere and for some reason my feet are really sore and stiff , so I'm lying here in bed waiting for 6am and then I have to get up for work and push through it all!
