Yes I regularly have it done, the needles are extremely fine and you can't feel them going in or while there in, afterwards you feel a completely different person, however Acupuncture doesn't work for everyone, you need to try 4-6 sessions and if you can't feel or notice any improvement then save your money it means Acupuncture isn't for you.
I have had acupuncture years ago for fibro and seid it didn't seem to do much for me and the discomfort of it was hard for me. One day I went in for it and I was extremely upset about possibly losing my house in foreclosure. She (my psychiatrist) put needles and little balls on points on my ears and I felt a dramatic feeling of ease and bliss and almost euphoria..... It was such a relief. So I know acupuncture can have a positive effect.
Look for a place called The People's Clinic. They have them in some places, but not everywhere yet. Acupuncture runs $15-40. They let you decide what you can afford.
I pay the 15.
Yes it works wonders for me.
I use a traditional Chinese Dr for mine at the start she did point out that not everybody adjusts to Acupuncture and said that I will know within 6 sessions if it's for me or not.
Thankfully my body responds to Acupuncture and I walk out of the treatment room like a different person, it's weird hard to explain but yes it's like walking out of the clinic in a different body (although after a few days/week it does wear off)
I get treatment every 3 weeks
Personally I think you should try it not only does it help me with my pain but it's also a great therapy for relaxation.
Good luck with your hearing.
