Does anyone suffer with tender coccyx bone? I have suffered really bad with it the last 3-4 years.
I'm not sure if it's fibro related

Actually I think they are more like wheel chair cushions that have a section cut out so the tail bone floats. I got mine at a pharmacy that carries medical supplies. They have a slight slant to them so you have less pressure on the underside of the legs too. I'm sure you could get them online too but I've never looked. The doughnut cushions wouldn't be comfortable for long periods. These are made for people who sit a lot.
Hi hope your feeling all better. Have you fallen or bumped that area at all.. /can you see the area that hurts. The reason I say this is there is a condition called Polynydal Cyct ask your Dr. to cj=hevk Best of Luck
I also have pain but my pain doctor suspected that it was different from my fibro pains. Nothing would ease the pain and he scheduled me for a scan. I have a Lombar disk herniation and a lot of inflammation around my spine which touchs my sciatic nerve. You should maybe ensure you don't have anything other. I had been complaining for many years so now at least I get the proper pain relief treatment.
Yes I have a bony bum!!!! I have a special cushion in my wheelchair. It helps a lot 😊mine is due to weight loss though. :-(
I do have pain but from an injury I had 5 years ago and broke my tailbone and didn't even know it until a year later. I can't sit, stand or lay for a long time. When I sleep I have to sleep on my side. I now have arthritis in it nd hurts even more when it rains and when it's cold. The fibro definitely makes it hurt more. And having a pinched nerve doesn't help me.
I agree leolady, maybe you had some kind of trauma to it and didn't realize. Get checked. You should ask to get an x ray also. Hope you feel better
