Hi. I either drink chamomile tea or warm milk. I take magnesium and that's also supposed to help with sleep although I mainly took it for leg cramps. Please look up any supplements and male she they don't
Interact with anything you are already taking. I looked up the 5htp and that's something personally I couldn't take. I don't work anymore. So I just try not to stress about it. Best sleep (like a while hr at a time )is between 3 -10am. I'm

I know there are alot of suggestions with the supplements but i also agree with going back to setting up a sleep routine. when i was menopausal my routine got thrown off. I was lucky if i got 4 hrs. a night. then i was up all day for work. What i did was only use my bedroom for sleep. no t.v.s, no books, no cell phones, tablets, etc. the energy from the devices do break up your brain waves. I would put clean sheets on the bed, spray or burn a lavender candle, take a nice hot, epson salts bath, my special p.j.s. I had to create a special feeling again about my bed and sleep. I would watch t.v. until 10.00 P.m. maybe read a book to get my eyes sleepy and then go to my bedroom. eventually i looked forward to going to my bed for the sleep and within the year i was sleeping for at least 6 hrs. just getting up once to go to the bathroom and then i went back to sleep. so it does work, just make it your routine. do what feels comfortable for you. add in whatever assists in this process. magnesium is great, i take that, chamomile tea and sleepy time tea is also great. i used that too. meditation helps clear the day away and writing in a journal helps take whatever that was in your head, and puts it somewheres else to look at the next day. I hope this helps!! I also have to add that i have added a folded blanket under my bottom sheet and it has helped in my hip pain. I think the mattress isnt the greatest and the springs have a bad effect on my hips. this should do for now until i can buy a different mattress. God Bless!!

If you have tried all of the above suggestions but nothing is working (as I did), and it is really interfering with your daily life, talk to your doctor. I am currently taking a new medication called Saphris. Granted it tastes nasty, it's sublingual, but I'm asleep within 10 minutes and sleep mostly through the night. Other ladies from the Chronic pain support group that I attend also have had success with it.

If your tired during the day, have a nap but put your alarm on for 20mins and force yourself to get up. Switch off TV/Mobiles other didgital devices an hour (at least) before bedtime, read a book (not didital!) as long as it's not a DON'T PUT ME DOWN kind, or I found colouring those adult colouring books help me! Go to bed at a set time that's not too late or early (I go between 9:30/10) but most people go about 10:30/11 pm as is the norm, I'm just a strange person and have always been that way :P Make sure your warm enough but not too hot and hopefully that will help, it takes a bit of getting used to. Also a good thing to do is get one of those sleep app things and record your sleep for a week, it may tell you secrets you never knew, maybe you talk in your sleep etc. Hope this helps :)

I have been taking muscle relaxants every evening, this really helps with relaxation which has gotten my sleep pattern to become a little more "normal". I found that melatonin booster didn't change things very much, but honestly all you can do is experiment. Everyne experiences Fibro differently in my experience.
