Members connected over experiencing unexpected high blood pressure after historically having low readings, with many attributing the increase to fibromyalgia-related pain and stress, certain medications like Cymbalta, or inactivity and weight changes. Several members shared practical strategies including dietary adjustments like reducing fried foods and consuming beetroot juice, gentle stretch yoga without holding poses, checking potassium and magnesium levels, and working with doctors to find appropriate blood pressure medications. A recurring theme was the validation that chronic pain conditions can significantly impact blood pressure, along with encouragement to advocate for medical care and monitor readings regularly at home.

No, that's one thing I am blessed not to have.

Thank you all! I went to the Dr yesterday. They sent me to a cardiologist because the EKG they did showed I was ischemic. The cardiologist did another EKG and it was fine. Turns out the leads were put on wrong on the first one! lol
The cardiologist put me on BP med and I'm going to do a stress/echo test on the 8th. My father had high BP and it can be hereditary. I know pain and stress can cause it to go up, but I monitored it before going to the Dr. The highest was one morning just after waking up. I really appreciate everyone's concern. Prayers and hugs to all!!
