Members enthusiastically shared their experiences with magnesium citrate for constipation, confirming it works within a few hours but warning it can be harsh, so staying home is essential. Several members described their personal routines for managing chronic constipation, including Miralax with prune juice, fiber supplements, lactulose, probiotics, warm water with banana, and magnesium supplements that also help with muscle pain and bone health. A recurring theme was the struggle many face with medication-induced constipation, the importance of staying hydrated, and trying gentler options before resorting to harsher treatments, with members offering encouragement and practical advice to help each other find relief.

It's harsh and it works quickly.

Yes I've used it plenty of times, make sure you're home when you use it. I take 1000 mg of magnesium a day (supplement). Use the liquid to get clean (refrigerate before using) and then take supplements to keep yourself regular. Drink plenty of fluids. Good luck.

No blood, if it is the morning its my meds and dry heaving, later in the day its food if I have eaten. I don't eat until after noon. And I am lactulose intolerant, so if I do dairy I get explosive diarrhea and I vomit. I can't win. Lol
