Members connected over the frustrating experience of needing to urinate constantly, describing how it disrupts rest, sleep, and daily activities, with many feeling unable to relax or leave home due to fear of accidents. Several members shared strategies that have helped, including pelvic floor physical therapy, bladder training by scheduling bathroom visits hourly, reducing caffeine intake, and seeing a urologist to rule out infections or other underlying conditions. A recurring theme was the importance of seeking medical evaluation rather than dismissing symptoms as just part of fibromyalgia, as infections and treatable bladder issues can present with similar urgency.

I went to a Urologist for bladder pain. He sent me to see a pt that works on pelvic floor muscles. She will help w/ exercises that will strengthen the pelvic muscles. It helps, now I do not feel like I have to go every five minutes.

Last night, a "first time seen on TV" *Downton Abbey program was about to come on. I quickly ran to the bathroom and got back in time to see the very beginning. LOL! A lot of times, I get "triggers" telling me I need to go. Some IS there but doesn't always want to come out at the moment. I know many will laugh at this, but I'm serious. Many times I will say, "Urine, In The Name And Blood Of Jesus Christ Of Nazareth, Come Out Of My Bladder, NOW!" :-) I make sure in telling it which end to come out of. I don't speak too loud. I just say the words and in no time, "Bingo!"

I see a urologist once a year. My mother died from Uremic poisoning when I was 14. I've never "gotten over this." She suffered a lot. I can now look back and see the pain she was in. I'm past age 48 (the age she was when dying). Still, I think about this. In Momma's day, they didn't have machines to hook you up 1 or 2 times a week. She could no longer "go." It backed up into her bloodstream, causing Uremic Poisoning!

For anyone having constant "going problems," I suggest seeing a urologist. It could be something serious.

I am having a procedure w/ my bladder Wednesday. Went last week for blood test/urine test. Got a call this morning saying I had a bladder infection. My bladder always hurts. Urologist has tried several things which were not helping. I feel this infection proves that something is going on and it is not in my head, as we are use to docs telling us this. Anyway, you can train yourself that you can wait a couple of hours to pee or at night go once and train yourself not to go until morning. This has helped somewhat but the pain is still there. If you are having issues w/ your bladder including peeing so many times, please talk w/ your DOC!!
We deal w/ other health issues in conjunction w/ fibro that can involve vital organs. We need to keep on top of it.
