I think fibro is caused by Epstein Barr virus which often presents as mono after a dormancy phase. I'm sure that many people had viral infections without realizing it. Look into Medical Medium by Anthony William. It's all about EBV as the cause to many mystery illnesses

I had strep throat and then right after, I had chest pains. Went to the ER where they found two 99% blockages in two major arteries that required stents. My PCP thinks that I what caused my fibro. She said trauma to the body is what she thinks is a factor in fibro.
