I have fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis and arthritis. My doctor gave me an injection in the epidural area for the stenosis 2 weeks ago and my pain just keeps getting worse every day. Has anyone had the same issue. I am due to get a 2nd injection next week and I am not sure that I want to do that with the sever pain I am having after the 1st one.
I've had spinal stenosis to the extent that I lost bladder and bowel control. The bone spurs in my spine had cut off all the spinal fluid below the L-2 vertebrae. I needed extensive surgery to correct it.
I had shots in my spine for 15 years before the surgery. I can't say they helped, but I know others have.
over the last 2 years i have had 3 procedures on my knees ( with epidurals each time ) after every 'op' my fibro has become much worse and sadly does not later improve . i wil lbe in desperate need of treatment before i risk any more injections in my spine .
I have received several injections. At the beginning it would take a series of them to help with the pain. Now they only last a few days too
I have had many injections; they last a few days. Look into spinal stimulation from Medtronics. Go to tamethepain.com
are they cortisone, if so I had it done by my pain doc a long time ago. it made it worse. he says to me when I told him it made it worse, I didn't think that would help. ??? Then why did he do that? Anyhow he said we would never do that again. and we haven't. I would say don't do it again.
