I have had insomnia for 3 months now ,they had tried 10 different sleep aids that did not work for me . I was referred to a sleep study. Finally I was prescribed something that worked. I was told I have severe breathing problems when I sleep. This could have been going on all my life. I was diagnosed with CFS beginning in my 20's. We all know sleep deprivation causes many of the symptoms of fibromyalgia.I am praying so much that when I start wearing my c pap and breathing normal and sleeping… read more

Members shared mixed experiences with CPAP machines for sleep apnea and fibromyalgia, with some finding improved overall health and energy (particularly one member whose chronic fatigue and anxiety became more manageable), while others reported no change in fibromyalgia symptoms or continued challenges with pain-related sleep disruptions. Several members offered practical advice for adjusting to CPAP therapy, including wearing the mask during daytime activities to build comfort, working closely with the equipment provider to ensure proper fit, and giving the treatment consistent time to work, with one member emphasizing that better sleep helps the body handle pain and stress more effectively. A recurring theme was that while CPAP may not directly cure fibromyalgia, improved breathing and sleep quality can prevent symptoms from worsening, though many members continue to struggle with other sleep barriers like pain, overheating, restless movement, and mask intolerance.

I don't sleep well at all. I finally got a Fitbit type thing by garmin and I wear it and it shows how much sleep I get. From a deep sleep to a light sleep etc. and my dr was amazed. I sync it to my smart phone and it keeps a record. She wanted to give me zanex but I refuse to take it as I've seen people flip out on it. So I just sleep when I can

My Fibro, Chronic Fatigue, and Anxiety are much more manageable as a result of improved sleep w/ CPAP.
I've been without it for two weeks - I'm not sleeping well and back to grinding my teeth...
I should get it back in a day or two. Cannot wait!

Pleasant Dreams!

Hi! Teresa!
Give your CPAP a chance. You will love yourself for it! Wear it while watching tv, reading, or just resting. Wear it every night to bed. Really, the sound is not bad, especially as you begin to adjust it. It will help your sleep deprivation. There are several stages of sleep that are disturbed. Our REM is so disturbed, that's why we are tired and being fatigued only makes our pain less easy to handle. We need sleep to do everything better, to handle stressors, to even be happy. Good sleep helps our endorphins, reduces out cortisol levels, helps our immune systems.
I have been using mine daily for over two months. A friend who I haven't seen in awhile told me I looked RESTED! It's true. The more I use it, the better I will feel. Make sure you get all the info from your specialist and company where you got your device. I called and went back to the company since I knew I was using it incorrectly. What a difference! My BEST!

I average 2 or 3 hours sleep but I can go for days without even 30 minutes sleep. It's awful and really frustrating

After spending a lot of time on the internet last night, trying to find remedies for night sweats I noticed Sage tablets were mentioned a lot. They are meant to stop night sweats completely and they also help with mood swings and fatigue. You take 2 tablets a day.....so I've ordered some and I'll keep you posted on results :) I'll try anything now
