Mouth Sores
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else get sores in their mouths when you are having a flare? I have noticed that I get them in the same place and I believe they are related to my fibromyalgia. What will help with the soreness in my mouth?

Acidophilus taken all the time can really help canker sores. Yogurt and anything with acidophilus in it as well as tablets can help prevent and clear them up.

I use to on occasion I would harken with Oregano oil and warm water. It hurts like crap, but better than dealing with the sores. oregano oil is also an antibacterial and helps with immune system.

I have lots of bouts with sores in my mouth, canker sores is what mine are. I get them on my tongue, cheeks and even sometimes in the back of my throat. Doesn't seem to be any answers to the cause of them but they are painful and can last up to a week or more. I usually go through bouts and then they will clear up and I can go months without them again. I have noticed that they seem more frequent in the winter months. I use a product call Kanka and it really relieves the pain. Its a liquid that you coat your sores with and it makes a barrier that stops the pain within an hour after application. I swear by it and have it on hand at all times. I have been told by one doctor that they think it is linked to auto immune disorder. Its puzzling but with the treatment mentioned above I finally found an effective treatment when they flare up. Good luck and I really hope you find some relief.

Now I know why I keep getting the sore throat and the sores. I will try the apple cider vinegar for the discomfort. I just found out that it also works for sinus problems. Pour some on a napkin and breathe in.
