I am always on the fence putting something else in my body and at the same time I'm terrified of getting the flu. I had a bad flu about ten years ago and I would never want to relive that again!

Members overwhelmingly shared that they get the flu shot every year, with most reporting no side effects beyond typical injection-site soreness, while a few experienced more intense pain, swelling, or feeling unusually ill afterward. Several members emphasized that their doctors strongly recommend the vaccine for those with fibromyalgia, autoimmune conditions, or other at-risk factors, noting that staying as healthy as possible is crucial when managing chronic illness. A recurring theme was individual variation in response, with most members feeling the benefits of avoiding the flu outweigh the temporary discomfort, though a small number decided to skip future shots after negative experiences.

I get it every year and have since diagnosed. Dr insists. With autoimmune disease it is really important to stay as healthy as possible.
