I have fibromyalgia and functional ataxia and I can't walk that far before having to stop and collect my thoughts of how I am suppose to be walking properly heel to toe..... I get bad pains and fatigue.... does anyone have a blue disability badge for this condition? Of so how easy is it to obtain one and how do I go about getting one? Many thanks for reading this xx
Just looked it up online its actually a 10 pound fee😀
I don't have a blue badge ,but I was told its helpful to inform your GP that you are applying for one ,they can write a letter ect confirming your medical issues and diagnosis which should help with your application. I believe that in my area West Kent, we have to pay a fee to apply which is none refundable if they decide you are not entitled to the badge ,I believe it is twenty pounds , I really do think this is off. But I am pretty sure you would be eligible for the badge.
Use the cart! It'll take a couple of times but you'll get to the point where you want to Call and reserve the thing before you actually head over, just so you know one will be free. If anyone ever didn't want to use those, it was me! Now listen to me! Lol! And it's worth it beyond words!
I see you're in the UK. Here in tbe US, a blue disability badge is for parking in disability zones, and it's easy to get with symptoms like yours (was for me). I don't know how it works in the UK, though.
I'm still fighting myself and won't use the riding cart at Wal-Mart, lol
