Hi.

I was recently diagnosed with Fibro about a month ago. Things were going great for me two years ago, my illustration business was just starting to pick up, I got a dog so I could get out and exercise more. Then boom, around February the Fibro symptoms hit hard and it's been all down hill from there.

I'm no longer able to draw fast enough or long enough to support myself as an artist, I'm going to be losing my health insurance come January, the doctor I've been seeing apparently won't… read more

Go to this site: http://www.gfcn.org/
or this site: http://www.nafcclinics.org/content/georgia-free...

Georgia has a free clinic network available. Check into it. Also, when I was without insurance my city sponsored a free clinic using doctors from the state university there. There are several resources like these available in most states. I got medication free and really good medical care.

Seems to me you should stick to you illustration work. Maybe not your own business but contracting yourself out to various resources to balance your health needs with your ability to work. Even volunteering your skills through local business groups and organizations might get you in touch with something or someone that will help you work things out.

I'm so sorry to hear of your struggle. I've heard of so many people in the same situation. Does your area have a 211 phone number, or something of the sort for area resources? Perhaps you could find some via the internet by typing in where you live, and exactly what you are looking for? If you haven't already, check with your local DHS for more community resources. Places like the Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. can be a wealth of resources. Those are different things I have tried. I hope something pans out for you soon. Good luck to you, Regena. Take care.

Look for volunteers in medicine most cities have one and you pay what you can afford. They have good Dr who donate their time to help people get good care.
