Members shared their varied experiences with medications and weight changes, with Lyrica, Cymbalta, and gabapentin (Neurontin) being the most commonly mentioned for causing weight gain, though some members reported losing weight or having decreased appetite on the same medications. Several members described the difficult trade-off between managing pain effectively and dealing with increased appetite or weight gain, with one member noting that gabapentin significantly increased their appetite but was essential for nerve pain relief. A recurring theme was the frustration of unexplained weight gain that persists even without medication or despite strict dieting and exercise, alongside the emotional complexity of weight changes tied to depression, pain levels, and poor appetite.

I gained the most weight when I tried Savella instead of Cymbalta. However, I did not lose any weight going back onto the Cymbalta.

A lot of days I barely eat and still no shift in weight , funnily enough it seems the more I eat the better I am , when eating little it stores as fat when eating more it seems to boost my metabolism and I feel better for it , but my appetite is extremely poor too !!
