I was wondering if anyone has been treated with narcotics. I am on lyrica and cymbalta but i am still in a lot of pain. My pain doctor prescribed trapentadol when i went to see him today. I had to sign a contract and do a urine test. I have to go back once a month for a urine test and get a refill. It all just sounded so intimidating.

yup david you are 100 percent correct.
It is meant to be intimidating...the DEA is going after doctors who prescribe pain meds in order to fight the problems with drug seekers who abuse the system in order to get high. This, Of Course, causes undue problems for the rest of us who just need pain relief.
I have to do the same thing once a month.
I think it is to see if you actually are taking the med not selling it on the streets...
I have no problem saying opiates are the only thing that helps..i dont care if all it does is mask the pain./..GOOD. its not like it can be reversed or treated to go away.I wish i had bushel fulls of them. what i get is .5 mg oxycodones three times a day..SORRY folks but it takes 3 of those to even touch my pain and make me feel normal.
