Members opened up about how fibromyalgia affects intimacy, with many sharing experiences of decreased sex drive, reduced sensation, and severe fatigue that make physical connection feel impossible or simply undesirable. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them, including reducing medication doses before intimacy, using endorphin-boosting sex itself as pain relief, taking hot baths with wine to relax, and simply initiating even when not fully in the mood to help get aroused. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of these changes on relationships, balanced by gratitude for patient partners and the shared relief of knowing others face the same struggles.

I've noticed that my pain meds decrease sensation in my genetalia, so I try to forego them close to bedtime. I've also noticed that the more I have sex, the higher my sex drive is. My advice is to try to do it more, as long as it's not causing you more pain, and you might find your sensation and drive will improve. Also, the endorphins released during sex really help the achy type pain, and definitely improve my mood :).

I was relating it to the meds and the change.. Thankfully after 27 years he's very patient. But I've also found a hot bath and glass of wine do help !

I have also, I have been putting that on menopause but maybe it's also the Fibro. It takes a lot for me to reach orgasm because I don't feel it like I used to.
