Members shared their experiences with iodine allergies in response to someone wondering if it might be connected to fibromyalgia, with the general consensus being that the allergy appears unrelated to fibro and can develop at any stage of life. Several members described developing their iodine sensitivity later in life, often after medical procedures like surgery or when donating blood, with reactions ranging from rashes and hives to severe headaches. A recurring theme was that allergies can emerge or change over time regardless of fibromyalgia, and members also noted the common link between shellfish and iodine allergies.

You can develop.an allergy to anything, at any age. I got asthma at age 30, fibro at 47. I dont think the one has anytjong to do with.the other, but I guess its.possible.
