Members widely confirmed that balance problems are a common and frustrating symptom they experience, with many describing dizziness, wobbling, bumping into walls and door frames, and even falling, sometimes requiring them to grab onto furniture or pull over while driving. Several members shared practical strategies that help them manage, including using a cane for stability, taking medications like Betahistine, moving slowly from sitting to standing, practicing yoga for balance training, and using electric carts while shopping to conserve energy. A recurring theme was the relief of realizing they are not alone in this symptom, the challenge of others not understanding what they are going through, and the importance of being cautious to avoid injury while navigating daily life with unpredictable balance issues.

I have found using a cane helps with the balance issue, so whenever I go out in public or even use the stairs in the house I use a cane. Also if you bump into someone they don't get as upset when they see you on a cane. My oldest daughter makes me use the electic cart when I go shopping with her, she won't even let me walk in the stores anymore because it tires me out.

Balance...Oh yes..quite often I find myself grabbing for support as not to fall..I get dizzy spells too..they are brutal. ... Ive had to pull car over at times and get out before I throw up..Its an awful feeling! I take Betahistine for it... it helps tremendously

Yes, my balance is often off. I have blamed it on meds but think it is a symptom of fibro
