Hello.
I was at my trampo-fit class yesterday and I realised something.
For many months/years, my hips are making a weird sound when I'm laying on my back and "pedalling". It is making a sound like it is dislocating. And there's a weird sensation that comes with it. It is not painful at all, but I just hate the feeling and the noise it makes.
I just realised that my shoulders are doing the same when we are doing circles with our arms.
I had an MRI last year for my hips and they found… read more
yes, all my joints crack and crunch. the more you exercise and strengthen muscles, the less this will happen. make sure after exercise you relax muscles completely. The trick is to keep the exercise going as regularly as possible .. I keep having gaps in exercise, so go back to the noisy crack and crunch. :(
My left hip seems to pop out of the socket, very painful i cant walk or move, dr says its my anatomical structure...hmmm...once it pops back into place I can move it. Its scary when it happens 4 to 5 times a day. OUCH! NOT TO MENTION EMBARASSING, its like Im frozen in place.
My hips and shoulders do this as well. My hips have "popped" since I was a preteen but my shoulders have started more recently. One of my hips had a labrum tear so I had surgery to clean that up and also to grind down some of the bone of my femur because my pelvis is tilted wrong (an MRI with contrast determined both of these). The surgery was meant to help with the pain I felt very internally in my hip, that was usually quite sharp. It has helped with this but made the popping even worse. My left hip now goes "ka-chunk" a lot--like while doing motions such as pedaling like you mentioned. Unfortunately I don't know what this all means either, it's something that I have just lived with.
It could be your cartilage in your joints making that noise. My collar bones sound like rice krispies as they snap crackle and pop when I roll over in bed. Its cartilage damage is what I am told. I do have some pain with mine on occasion but not always.
My knees pop and grind and I found out it is osteoarthritis .
