I'm having a flare and my jaws are hurting (not unusual.) The strange part is my teeth, all around, feel as though they're throbbing, like a major infection or something has set in or like I've had major dental surgery. Does anyone get this? Are there any remedies or things to try that have worked?
If your sleep habits are uneven you may be clenching and grinding. Try a night guard either from your dental provider or over the counter one at drug store. It may help tremendously
I use my tongue at the back of jaw almost through to throte . I allow it to rest on the higher spots. They seem to go down then.throbbing will stop .sinuses are at the top near jaw above.
Definitely get a mouth guard for sleeping. Get the kind that you heat up and mold to your teeth. You're probably clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth while you sleep
sometimes I get an ache in my face even my teeth, a lot like a bad case of the flu.
Yes you can have a bite raiser made by your dentist it helps to take pressure off of the jaw joint,is kind of like a gum shield. I use one at night.stops you grinding and clenching your teeth.I have TMJ also was given mouth exercises to do several times a day your dentist or physiotherapist may be able to give you a sheet with these on.
