I think it's just depends on the individual. Everyone is effected differently. My flares usually consists of fatigue that doesn't improve no matter how much sleep I received. Also i have pain everywhere from my toes to the to every stran of hair. Could last for a day to week /weeks
Mine give me a little break sometimes. My flare ups last months. I do a lot of positive thinking and never give in all day. I might get one thing done but hey I got one thing done.
When I am in a flare I am practically non functioning. I'm in so much pain I feel like I'm being tortured and I am exhausted beyond belief. I have to rest, I have no choice. Not usually only lasts a few days, and then I return to my regular level of yuck!
It's all individual I am sure. I always have some degree of pain but when the pain intensifies for an extended period and the muscles start really twitching badly I know I am in a flare. Sometimes they last only a day or two sometimes a week or more.
When i have a flare up i will hop in the shower and get it really hot and stand for a long time in it.The hot water helps for a while.I also heat up my rice bag through out the day . That is very helpful to because i lay it on the area hurting at that moment.. I also try and sleep with pillow on my side that helps some to.Today has been very rough.Every part of my body hurts. I hope i sleep tonight . Sleep helps me .
