Members shared numerous strategies for managing restless legs, with the most frequently mentioned remedies being magnesium supplements, prescription medications like pramipexole and Sinemet, and surprisingly, placing a bar of soap under the bedsheets. Several members described finding relief through a combination of approaches, including warm showers directed at problem areas, walking around to reset the sensation, gabapentin or Lyrica for nerve pain, and addressing underlying conditions like sleep apnea. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a doctor to explore medication options while also trying accessible home remedies, with members openly sharing both what worked for them and cautioning about side effects like weight gain from amitriptyline.

I found out I had sleep apnea and restless leg. Had a sleep study done. It showed I was not breathing for 10 seconds a minute! Got a CPAP mask and now sleep well. Got rid of restless leg too.

Hi Leanna, yes a regular bar of soap from the supermarket will do. I put two in just to be sure. (I saw i copied a brand by mistake). I don't need them anymore now, but it is such an easy and cheap trick.

This sounds as such a strange advice that is why I copied a link. You can find more via google. It worked for me: http://www.peoplespharmacy.com/2014/11/03/soap-...

There are medications to help if you see the doctor. Indian tonic water that has quinine in it can be helpful to drink for some. I found Tramadol at night helps with the pain for better sleep and seems to help the restless legs for me which I wasn't expecting. Hope this helps, I hate restless legs, so frustrating and uncomfortable x
