Anyone Experience Prickly Pain Between Shoulder Blades?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Wyoming, WV

I experienced pain between shoulder blades , middle of back to the effect of pins and needles.
Lasted at least 3- 5 min.
I experience this sensation often in my feet, usually just from a sitting position?
I participate in Water Aerobics and lately I notice it in my hands, up my forarms, more pain and ache rather than pricking.
I'm more concerned with my back at this time. Any and all answers would be helpful. Thank you. 😩

Members shared their experiences with prickly pain between the shoulder blades, with many attributing it to pinched or trapped nerves, muscle tension from cold temperatures, and nerve damage related to fibromyalgia or other conditions. Several members offered practical relief strategies, including wearing warm layered clothing to relax tight muscles, using recliners or supportive positions to ease neck and shoulder strain, trying trigger point injections for persistent pain, and applying heat along with pain relievers. A recurring theme was the frustration of unpredictable tingling and numbness in hands, arms, and back, with members encouraging each other to seek neurological evaluation and prioritize self-care through movement, stress relief, and gentle activities like swimming or walking.

It's nerve damage. See a neurologist. Mine is from black mold. Black mold attacks nervous system

Yes, it drives me crazy. Since I have a recliner to hold my head in one position and rest my neck, the feeling goes away. Put me in front of a desk top computer and it starts again, plus I get numb in that area also.

Wear warm clothes layer them on. I didn't know my muscles were cold until I started to dress warm, and the pain between my shoulder blades calmed down. My muscles would get so tight from being cold they tingled.

Pretty normal for fibro. It hurts all over. Best relief is to take care of yourself. Take a long bath, go for a walk to relieve stress. Get moving by swimming or stationary biking.
