I'm wondering if others have dealt with this as well... When my pain goes up my depression goes up, but also if my depression goes up my pain will also.
I'm diagnosed with both Fibro and depression (among other things). Just curious if these two will always go hand in hand....

Yes I have more pain when my mood is low which makes me feel even lower which heightens the pain it's a vicious circle I try to relax and rest I do a lot of reading which does help
I've suffered with depression for a very very long time. Come Oct my moods used to go very low from the age of 12 but I used to put it down to me being a teenager, PMT and not wanting to live. Then in 2001 after I had my son I was diagnosed with post-natal depression then it spiralled from there onwards at first I wouldn't take my meds or speak up as I worked in mental health. It took a lot for me to even discuss things with my health visitor. Now it's a part of me and I was also diagnosed with SAD and did have a light lamp that I had to use but the hospital took it off me so I need to purchase my own now
yes, it's a cycle like a circle. one brings on the other, no matter the order, pain, depression, fatigue, brain fog, and for me migraine headaches. try to break the cycle by stopping at least one of the symptoms. For example, for the depression the meds don't always work. But, I figured out that if sometimes I watch a really funny movie, my depression lessens, the pain level comes down, and sometimes I avoid the migraine. You have to figure out by trial and error what works for you. We're all different and there's no set treatment that works for everyone. Sometimes, a simple quiet nap will help. Hope this has been helpful, Blessings Rebecca
