Can I ask a question as I am confused..... When I had my first consultation with pain clinic it was suggested that I had fibromyalgia hence joining this group so I can learn more and have somewhere to vent.....I saw my neurologist Thursday and he has diagnosed me with functional neurological disorder...... (fnd) so I'm confused? Can someone enlighten me on difference between the two?
Hi i have had fibro for over 22 years now. I was diagnosed with fnd in october last year as i was getting new symptoms. Nerve pain and sore skin and numbness but only down my left side. The consultant said that is typical fnd and that fnd and fibro can trigger each other
Unfortunately there is no litmus test for Fibromyalgia. It's usually diagnosed through the process of elimination of all other possible diseases. I've never heard of FND but if you trust your doctors, go with it. Follow the protocol for FND and see if you find relief. If not, push on for further testing. Best of luck to you, let us know your outcome! Blessings, Rebecca
Yeah that's the problem with fibro there is so much with it that it makes it hard for the doctors sometimes to diagnose other problems. Because they don't know what is what. Good luck and praying you get answers.
Thank you, I have read that article, I mentioned to neuro that pain Dr mentioned fibro he said fibro is more pain than movement and sensory and weakness, I have constant pain which flares ups, tingling down legs numbness, chronic low back pain, genital numbness, eye pain, fatigue, leg weakness dizziness etc, so I'm confused.....
I found this sight for you I hope it helps you.
