I'm flying home for Christmas and it's a long trip (14 hours) any advise? I tend to panic on planes because I have to sit in the same place for so many hours. My body just hurt to much. This is also the first time I fly since my symptoms got a lot worse so I don't know what to expect.
I also take tramadol and I'm not sure if I will have a problem flying with them? Do I need to provide a prescriptioIn from my dr? I have to bring so medication they might think I'm a drug trafficker hahah

I would suggest getting an aisle seat, so that you don't have to climb over people to get out and move. Remember that they have liquid restrictions so make sure you hydrate before getting to the airport. (or else pay airport prices) I would definitely suggest wearing lots of loose layers and shoes that are easy to kick on and off. Do not take your medications out of their containers because you will be stopped for unmarked pills. (If anything, leave extra medication at home if you don't want to carry your entire supply with you.)
From my experience just make sure to make yourself as comfortable as possible. Bring a blanket or jacket to make sure not to cold as well as an option for not getting too hot. The temperature with me makes a place better or worse. You shouldn't have any trouble with medicine and make sure to take it before you get on the plane so it's set in by the time you sit down . Make sure to have water available and other things that help you with comfortability . Not sure what seat your sitting at but make sure you can get up when need to make and walk around for a few minutes every few hours especially if you are already hurting to get the blood pumping. Headphones are an essential. Either have some nice music on or a movie. Try to sleep but you might be better off staying awake as falling a sleep on places sometimes you wake in more pain. I hope this helps a little
I haven't flown for several years but I would definitely get as aisle seat.also speak to the airline before hand you can book a buggy car to help take your luggage through the airport. You could ask for an extra leg room seat although some will charge extra for this. Take a letter from your doctor or some thing that proves you are sick as it may be possible that if you ask and show this they can bump you up to a more spacious seat perhaps even first class.Ask to be seated on the plane before the crowds get on,normally disabled people can be seated first and then people with young children before every one else this should help you to not get bumped into by others.I use a TENs machine for journeys, I think you can use one on a plane .cushions may help too. Ask one of the stewards if they can remind you when you are due for medication during the flight as you don't want to forget.
I take a lorazepam & a codeine when I fly. I try to sleep with no luck. I bought a my pillow on-line & it came with a travel one. Best pillow & so worth the money!!! Good luck. ππ
I have traveled with meds many times. If you keep them in their original bottles, you will be fine.
