Hi...

Other than suffering from this miserable condition.... I sso get inflammed tendons and buritis. I suffer in my hips, shoulder and wrists. I'm constantly having cortisone injections to relieve discomfort and pain. Is this part of fibromyalgia?

I too have bursitis in my hips and tendonitis in my upper arms which I have tried cortisone injections but they usually don't help. I just recently had severe pain in my wrists and thumbs which my rheumatologist gave me cortisone. I thought it was probably arthritis but now I think it is all caused by the fibro. I have found ice packs help my hips, arms and shoulders. I have been trying to read more about this nasty disease and I have just read about flares which is when the pain is almost unbearable but does lessen in a few days. Sorry to hear about all your pain.

I have tendonitis in my feet. I just found out by going to the foot Dr. after having horrible foot pain for over 18 months. It was dismissed by my GP because he couldn't see anything on X-rays. I am waiting for an appointment with a Physiatrist (not to be confused with Pyschiatrist). I'm hoping she can check my shoulders, hips and wrists as those are also major pain areas. The foot Dr. actually seemed to have a lot of knowledge on Fibro and told me it can cause inflammation in your tendons so I'm assuming that could be anywhere in your body.

I have awful bursitis in my left hip. The pain is unbearable at times where I can't even lay on that side. I continue to have injections and they help very little for a short period of time. Unfortunately the rheumatologist has nothing else to offer me.

I have brutal bursitis in my hips! Have been doing injections for years! I had surgery on my right shoulder and am having carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand this month! All are tendon related! The hard thing is MRI's don't show much when it comes to my hips and they are the worst for me.
