Has anyone applied for disability because of their fibromyalgia? Any advice?
I was told I was one of the "first" to receive SS Disability based on fibro. This was 15 years ago. It can be a difficult task if your not familiar with the process. My advice is to call an attorney that specialises in Social Security Disability cases. they will give you the best advice and how the process works. I kept a detailed daily log of when I took meds, pain (type, intensity, and location), what I did every day and what affect it had on me. This was accepted as evidence in my case.
Yes I get Personal Independence Payment which used to be called disability living allowance. But, I also have serveral other conditions to deal with and for them to consider.
May I ask what other conditions you have that went along with the Fibro-I have my date coming up in June with my Atty. and I have Fibro-Manic depression, carpal tunnel, A-fib, herniated discs in neck and back, arthritis in hips and back, but my Atty. said to not add to many to the bunch just to stick with a few-any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for the daily log advice
I applied and was denied. So I went through Primier Disability and was approved. They really helped me alot.
