Freezing All The Time
I'm used to cold intolerance with my thyroid medication dependence. But I've missed my fibro meds and ribose the passed couple days (not smart I know), and I have been FREEZING, it feels totally different than thyroid cold. Keep in mind I'm in So Cal and it's been in the 80s here. Is this a normal issue with Fibro or should I speak with my endocrinologist?
Odd temperature changes are normal with fibro. It has to do with the nervous system not working properly. I have learned to carry a fan and gloves every where I go! It seems odd, but it works. I have also found that if you are cold, warming your hand and feel can help your whole body. Hope this helps. Keep fighting the good fight and Have a blessed day!
I use a large heating throw. It seems to get worse when the inflammation, caused by weather change, causes so much pain.
I use heating pad or electric heat blanket if you are on any blood thinners that will also make you cold at times.
@A MyFibroTeam Member This is how I get too.I feel the cold very much I've found that I can predict the weather as I wake up..From what I've been told by GP and also from what I've read on fibro, this is quite common for sufferers.
I have a heat pad which I lie on,that's the only thing that seems to help.
Put it this way I'm almost always on it! Even when it is actually warm outside I can be freezing.I did used to have a heat belt so you xan use and be mobile.Unfortunately it died and yet to find a replacement.
I hope this is of some use..
I'll be cold, pretty much until next May... I hear 'ya!!!
