Taking Meds With Coffee/Tea
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondering if anyone knows if you should wait a while to take medication after drinking a hot beverage like coffee or tea. I have this fear the medication will dissolve too quickly if I drink coffee right after taking my morning medications.

You could always ask the pharmacist too

No problem there. The medication dissolves in your stomach where the temp is already hot without the beverages.

I believe (but ask a pharmacist) that the coating on most pills would prevent that from happening. Some are even made so they dissolve in your intestines and not your stomach. Again, ck with your pharmacist.
